Help Our Neighbors Rebuild After Lightning Destroys Their Home
Dear friends, neighbors, and kind-hearted strangers,
On May 6th, an unimaginable tragedy struck our community. A bolt of lightning hit the Newell family's home, igniting a devastating fire that quickly consumed everything they owned. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely—but the house, along with all their belongings, is a total loss.
The Newells are some of the kindest, most generous people you could ever meet. Whether it was lending a helping hand, volunteering in the community, coaching a team, or just being good neighbors, they’ve always been there for others. Now, it's our turn to be there for them.
They left the house with only the clothes on their backs, and the road ahead will be long and difficult as they try to rebuild their lives from scratch. Insurance will help, but it won’t come close to covering the full extent of the loss or the immediate needs they’re facing—things like temporary housing, clothes, food, and essentials that most of us take for granted.
We’re asking for your help. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to the Newell family to help them begin again. If you can’t give, please consider sharing this page with your network. Your support means more than words can express.
Let’s show the Newells that they’re not alone—and that even in the darkest times, community light shines the brightest.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
With gratitude,
Chris and Jennifer Taylor
