Help The New Mission Yoga build a new hot room

Donation protected
Hello friends and family,

I am so excited to share with you the news that The New Mission Yoga is now completely moved in to our new ground floor location at 2415 Mission Street. It's in a beautiful new spot with 15' tall ceilings, new facilities, no carpet and it's in the same intersection, with the same awesome classes, the same teachers and community. I am asking for your help to bring this vision to fruition.

The move gives us the  opportunity to create our studio from scratch, to take all the things that worked for our community and build on that. First let me say that our new hot room will not have carpet and that our heating system will be designed with Covid in mind.

I am working with a team of professionals (an architect, a mechanical engineer, and an HVAC installer) to design and build a hot room (105 degrees fahrenheit with 40% humidity) using 100% fresh air.

Most of the heat will come from a Hydronic Floor Heater and the rest of the heat will be supplied by a Gas Furnace that will blow highly filtered, UV treated, heated air from the back of the room. That air will get sucked out at the ceiling and before it leaves the building it will pre-heat fresh air coming into the building via a Heat Recovery Ventilator.

Your donations will go to build the world's first covid resistant hot yoga room!

This hot room will be a resource to not only Mission Yogis, but to those yogis whose home studios have closed since March. It will be as big as the old Mission Yoga room but will be much more open.

I have the month of September to complete the design, assemble the construction team, and raise funds. My goal is to start construction in October and, provided we have a green light from the city, have a soft open by December.

Your support will mean that the dream of Mission Yoga can continue in a post-Covid world - we will be able to continue providing classes that support your health and well-being on a physical, mental and spiritual level.

I look forward to the day when we can practice together in our new hot yoga room.

Until then, be well.
