Help the Naslund's Medical Costs

As many already know... Our dear friend Ryan Naslund was in a very serious boating accident last weekend. and for those who don't know...

He fell over the front when they hit a large wave, was pulled under the boat and was hit several times by the propellers on his head and back. It is by the grace of God (and the quick action of his best friend) that he even made it out of that water. He was taken by care flight to Denton Regional where he was being treated by an exceptional trauma team. Thankfully, his CT was normal which is wonderful news. But he was bleeding internally, has many broken ribs, and both lungs collapsed. He also inhaled a lot of water when he went under. He had to have surgery to  remove his spleen to stop the internal bleeding. They also discovered that along with the broken ribs, he has fractures to a large number of Spinous Processes (the knobby pieces of bone you can feel when you rub your fingers over your spine). They have done an MRI to be sure he doesn’t have any ligament damage/doesn’t need surgery, and we are waiting for the results. Right now, the biggest concern is pneumonia from taking in so much lake water + the collapsed lungs and they are watching his surgical site from the splenectomy very closely as well. He is making good improvements daily and hopefully he will be moved out of ICU soon.

Ryan is the nicest man I know! He would do anything for anyone who needs help! And it is now that he is need of our help! He and his wife Rachel work hard and like many of us... still struggle. Even with insurance (we all know how crappy that can be) the medical costs are going to add up massively! Ryan has a long recovery ahead of him and will not be able to work for who knows how long, leaving them to one income.
