Stephen and Lara Nash bought their first house in June 2020, after it passed the inspection with flying colors. Just over six months later, they heard water running even though all the water fixtures in the house were off. When plumbers came out and excavated to find the problem, they found all kinds of issues with leaks and corroding pipes. They determined that the water lines need to be entirely rerouted through the attic on one side of the house. It's been stressful, as Stephen, Lara, and their two children have been without water in their house for nearly two weeks, and the final cost for all of this will be about $10,000. About half of this has already been covered by generous friends and family members of the Nashes, so they have a remaining need of $5000.
