Help the N.A.S.G. Museum Link trainer project!
Tax deductible
The NAS Glenview Museum is acquiring an original 1940’s WWII Link trainer for restoration as a working exhibit to demonstrate this rare aviation training simulator for visitors. These trainers were used extensively at NAS Glenview to train thousands of Navy pilots who helped change the course of WWII. This important artifact will demonstrate cutting-edge technology at that time and its relevance to the air station’s mission. Support for this project will provide a complete and working trainer for visitors interested in aviation, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) learning and history.
The Naval Air Station Glenview Museum, through the all-volunteer Hangar One Foundation, a 501c3 organization, is dedicated to commemorating those who served at the air station (Navy, Marines, Air Force, Army and Coast Guard) and their mission to preserve our freedom. For more information about the museum, visit https://www.thehangarone.org/
Every donation will go directly to support the trainer project and the museum’s historical preservation and educational mission, so please share this with others who may be interested in the project and this important part of American history.
