Help the Nail Family Fight Cancer and Heart Disease

Welcome friends and family to a homie little cabinet of the internet hosted for Justin, Melissa, and Killian--The Nail family. Our family is reaching out to you with an urgent request to support them financially during a time of significant medical need since Killian is currently awaiting heart procedure at Boston Children’s Hospital and Justin continues on-going medical treatment at home in Arizona.

Within the last week and a half, Killian was called to Boston Children’s for an exploration of some cardiac questions. Going into the weekend docs weren’t sure if his case would require Open Heart Surgery. Since then, it seems that he’s better suited for some work in the catheter lab. Of course, this medical story is ongoing, probationary, and subject to change.

You very well might have had the joy of being party to this family’s warm hospitality: Justin’s bear hugs, Killian’s jokes, tasty aromas coming from Mo’s kitchen while she hands you a glass. Come into the plant-filled room. The hope for this virtual space is to bring something of that generous and oh so human interface into this venue. A place where you, dear reader, might extend mercy, kindness, generosity, self-giving love, and a bit of yourself toward ‘hosting’ the Nails in their urgent and pressing needs. Since Justin’s third cancer diagnosis, he has undertaken full-time treatment, doctors appointments, and endured long spells in acute care, he’s been away from his engineering desk, unable to work. Melissa is committed to accompanying Justin with home-health needs, managing J and K’s medical cases, and general upkeep of the household and has been out of the chocolate shop, unable to work. Their obligation cup runneth over.
