Before grassroots venues, there were grassroots rehearsal spaces. We want to get back to the one-stop shop for musicians. We offer a supportive, non-judgemental environment for beginners and more experienced musicians. No matter what your genre is, we all share the same passion.

The Music Complex team have worked in various studios in South East London since 1989, including Elevator, Music City and Vampire Music. We started our own business, The Music Complex, established October 11th, 2006. That means we are coming up to our 20th anniversary this year! As we all know, it's tough being a musician. It's also tough being a Music Rehearsal space! We pride ourselves on the fact that we are an independent studio and always have staff available to help out our clients.

Sadly, due to a recent large rent increase and debts accumulated since Covid, we have been struggling to make ends meet. One solution we have in the pipeline is to build two more rehearsal rooms, as we have been regularly turning people away from our high demand time slots. But we need financial help to manage the debts and to build more rooms.

Many names such as Nova Twins, Placebo, Three Trapped Tigers, Goldie, The Ruts and many more have walked through our doors and worked on their live show and album material at our studio. We want to make sure we can continue to do that for many future artists and bands.

We pride ourselves on having staff available at all times to cater to everyone's need. We are happy to share our seasoned advice when needed. A studio should always have staff on hand, and the music industry needs more places to supply jobs.

With your support, we aim to restock our once-great shop with strings, tuners, cables and much more, to sell at an affordable price. We wish to create two more rehearsal rooms, and a space for podcasting, DJing or whatever your heart desires!
