We are the Murphys. We had a fire at our home the morning after Christmas. We were very lucky and are all still here. However, the home was not so lucky.

We are facing a rebuild of our kitchen, dining room, living room, and hall. The ducting system will need to be replaced. All ceilings will need scraping. The rest of the rooms in the house, as well as all of its contents, are covered heavily in soot. We are still assessing the damage.

We will have to remove and clean all the contents of our home while a smoke abatement team cleans the soot from our walls. We will have to store what is salvageable while the demo takes place. We will also be temporarily displaced during some of the remodel.

We have missed many days of work and will miss more during the cleaning out of our house. We are grateful and appreciative for any help. It has been a painful experience.
