Dear Winston Park & Kendall neighbors,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts and a call for community action. The Muñoz Perez family are members of our Winston Park community who recently experienced a devastating house fire that destroyed their home and all their belongings. Thankfully, no one was physically harmed in the fire, but the family has been left to rebuild their lives from scratch. This tragedy comes at an especially difficult time as the homeowner, Lianet, is just weeks away from giving birth to a baby boy. All the items they had carefully prepared for the baby were lost in the fire.

This GoFundMe is being organized by the Winston Park Community Action Network on behalf of the Muñoz Perez family. We have come together many times in the past to support our neighbors through hardship, and we know our community’s heart is bigger than any challenge we face.

The family has temporarily moved into a two-bedroom apartment with relatives, but this will not be a sustainable arrangement when the baby arrives. They urgently need help to rebuild their lives and provide a safe space for their growing family.

We are asking neighbors to show the generous spirit that defines our community. Even a small contribution can make a big impact when we come together.
