Our journey to parenthood has been filled with heartbreak, struggle and financial burden.

After going through treatment for over two years for cervical dysplasia (Ashlee), we decided to start our journey of adding to our family before continuing with more extensive treatment.

We started our journey on January 2022.

We did not get pregnant until July 2023, after being referred to the fertility clinic in Kingston.

We found out we were having twins, when we suffered our first miscarriage, ultimately losing both twins by September.

I (Ashlee) was placed on medical management and didn't have my cycle return till November 2023.

We got pregnant the next month, in December 2023. This pregnancy also resulted in a miscarriage.

During this time, we both had several layers of testing and procedures - some funded by MOH and others out of pocket. Results all yielded no answers.

We were unsuccessful the next six months.

In June of 2024, the Kingston clinic closed and we were transferred care to Ottawa.

We got pregnant again in June 2024. We tried medication intervention but again for the third time, miscarried.

We are now in the process of more testing and different medication prior to starting IUI or IVF treatment.
