Help the Mueller family after a horrific accident
Donation protected
At 11:45 on Saturday, June 12, 2021 a call came that no one wants to get. Kyle Mueller was in a horrific car accident and transported to Jersey Shore University Hospital. If it wasn’t for the quick thinking of an anonymous passerby, an off duty Lakewood Police Officer, (Officer Spagnuolo) on his way to work, the Brick Township and Lakewood Police Departments, and EMS, this story would have a much different outcome. To all involved, there are no words to describe how grateful we are and sincerely thank you.
The passerby arrived first to see Kyle’s car that struck a guardrail and a utility pole, knocking high voltage wires on to the car, which then set the car on fire. Without regard for their own safety, the passerby, pulled Kyle from the burning car with Officer Spagnuolo arriving just behind to assist him. As they moved Kyle away from the car, Officer Spagnuolo noticed a severe injury to one of Kyle’s legs with arterial bleeding occurring, which is life threatening if not immediately treated. By the Grace of God, the officer was in possession of a tourniquet and immediately applied it above the wound. This quick thinking, the doctor who treated Kyle said, saved his life.
Kyle was then transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where he underwent surgery to save his leg. We all thank God for the skill of the surgeon who did in fact save his leg. It will be a long and painful recovery, but we are just so thankful that someone was watching over him that night.
This horrible accident has put an extreme financial hardship on not only Kyle, but the whole family. We are asking, only if you can, to help alleviate some of this burden to help with the medical bills, damages and lost wages. If you are unable to donate, please say a prayer for a speedy recovery. We thank you.
