April 7 Update - The Mousseau Family In Their Time of Need

April 7, 2024 update. It’s now 7 days after the Surgery and things are taking a turn for the worse. She was on the road to recovery but severe pain set in last night. There has now been found a pancreas leak into the abdomen along with low oxygen levels. Next steps are being evaluated by the doctors with additional emergency surgery may now happen. Please keep her and her family in your prayers!!

Hello, my name is Joel Kendzorski and I am starting this fundraiser for my daughter Jasmine Mousseau who is fighting a cancer battle, her husband Nathan and their five adopted children Joe, Elliot, Kelsey, Grace and Arlee. They live in Northern Michigan in the country trying to create a loving home for their children.

Help The Mousseau Family In Their Time of Need

Hello everyone, we just went past the Easter season, a time of rebirth and renewal. It’s a time for families to get together, pray together, eat together, and have fun. Unfortunately it’s a challenging time for my daughter Jasmine and her family due to the cancer struggle she and her family are going through.

Jasmine and Nathan Mousseau have been foster parents to 17 children and have adopted 5 of those children into their loving home. In December of 2023 she was diagnosed with a pseudo papillary cancerous tumor on her pancreas. On April 2nd she underwent surgery to remove the tumor. The doctors at the University of Michigan Hospital were able to remove the tumor but also had to remove her spleen too. The tumor was larger than a softball! She is still in the hospital as of today fighting to get well to get back to her children. Her husband Nathan has taken a leave from work to be at her side. Family has stepped forward to help the children remain in school and try to continue as normal a life as possible.

Her treatment and recovery will be long and arduous. She is determined to try to be the family they were prior to this heath dilemma. Unfortunately she will be unable to work for an undetermined amount of time as the doctors continue their treatment and she slowly recovers. That is where your prayers and donations come in. With your help they will be able to keep normalcy in their family without the income they had while she was working.
