Help the Morgan Family After Fatal Car Accident
Donation protected
Hello Family and Friends. It is with profound grief and shattered hearts that we share the devastating news of our mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, wife, niece, cousin, and friend, Le'Kisha Franklin-Morgan, who tragically passed away on April 7th in a car accident. Her husband, Donald Morgan, who was also in this car accident, is currently in the ICU fighting to recover from his injuries.
On April 7th, Le'Kisha and Donald were traveling to visit their son and his family. One of their greatest joys was to spend time with their grandchildren, but a tragic car accident immediately changed their lives and the entire family's lives forever. Le'Kisha died on scene and Donald was taken to a neighboring hospital in critical condition.
This fundraiser, although can assist with the final resting wishes of Le'Kisha, it will greatly help with the devasting impact that this tragedy leaves for Donald, whose path to recovery is not an easy one. Donald was just getting his health back from his recent battle with Pancreatic Cancer, a cancer that impacted his ability to work leaving Le'Kisha to be the main breadwinner. Much of his life, and Le'Kisha's life recently, was spent in and out of hospitals and doctor's appointments, but despite it all, they were so in love and so happy to be sharing their lives together. Every person that laid eyes on them or spent a second around them could see just how much their faces glowed just looking at each other or talking about each other.
Although their love story has such a tragic ending, we would love to share Le'Kisha's words about their love story after their wedding this past December 2024. She was so happy to share this post in the family's private Facebook group.
"People say I was a beautiful bride, don’t know how true that was, but what I do know is that I was a happy one. I met this man in 1987 and fell in love. We were on and off till 1994. I was crazy over him but tragedy happened and we parted ways never to see or speak again until March of 2023. 29 years I secretly loved him, my heart yearned him, he never left my heart or mind. Of course I lived my life, married before, but I would never change my last name. I was born a Franklin, I’ll die one, no man was worth replacing my daddy name, but God had a different plan for me and brought back the Love of my life and he changed my last name MRS MORGAN it is. I love you baby Donald Morgan." -Le'Kisha Franklin-Morgan
We, the family, know in times like this that many people want to know how they can help provide anything that we need. Right now, if it is within your heart and financial capabilities, anything you can donate will help the family with Le'Kisha's arrangements and help maintain the responsibilities left behind for Donald without the love of his life while he recovers from his injuries. It is very important to the family to, at the very least, be able to maintain the home they shared for as long as possible for Donald. It's painful to know that he won't be able to be there to see his wife put to rest so if the memories can be preserved a while longer with the help of their family and friends, this would truly be a blessing to him.
Thank you all for all your love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Every call, text, post, inbox message, and visit is so very much appreciated. Le'Kisha was a pillar in the Jackson-Franklin Family who prided herself in keeping the family connected. She will forever be missed.
Please continue to keep Donald and our family lifted up in prayer. Although God makes no mistakes, the pain of losing a loved one will forever remain in our hearts.
