The Morenos Need a Reliable Family Car
Donation protected
Joe, Jessie, and Norah are some of the sweetest people you could ever meet. In a world that sees many people offer ideals or virtues without living them out, the Morenos set an example of loving people, living sacrificially, and practicing faith.
Joe is one of the Co-Lead Pastors of Belong Community Church, a small local church that was planted in September of 2023. A church which he left a successful and ambitious career with a great financial forecast to plant.
Jessie has devoted her life to helping people society would rather not know about; from working at Mother's Refuge to now working to help people get the assistance they need from the government to be able to live lives with support and dignity.
Norah is a sweet and giggly 7-month-old who loves to play with her toes and pass on her contagious giggling.
So why am I here telling you this family's story? Last year, they were faced with having to purchase a new car—something scary and taxing for anyone in this economy, but something that became especially necessary with the advent of baby Norah. Sadly, after church this past Sunday, the family was driving to go spend time and minister to another family in our community when their car broke down. It unfortunately is beyond repair and they will now have to once again look for a car that will be safe for their family and give them the transportation they need to simply do the good work they seek to do.
The Morenos don't know about this, they didn't ask for this, but I feel they deserve this. They are a family who won't complain about whatever car they get. They are a family who actually will be grateful for whatever car they get, but I believe God wants to bless them and I believe He is going to put it in the hearts of His people, and the people they have sought out to bless, to bless them.
So let's give this family a car! Let's give them a car that they can not only be worry-free having, but a car they can make memories in for years, a car they use for ministry for years, a car that will be a symbol of God's love, provision, and grace for years. My family and I will go first, will you join us?
