Help the Moore Family Through Monica's Surgery
Donation protected
Monica was diagnosed in early October 2024 with spindle cell sarcoma. Due to her aggressive case she had 3 very long/hard rounds of chemo, requiring her to stay in the hospital for 5-6 days each time. Each round of chemo lasted 96 hours. She was told by the radiologist that she would need about 25 rounds of radiation. That was scheduled to start on Monday, January 27th 2025. Unfortunately this week Monica got the phone call from the doctor at UAMS with bad news. The doctor let them know that the tumor didn't shrink enough. Since it had already started trying to attach to the femur bone, the only way they would be able to get it all, and still have quality of life would be to move forward with amputation. Monica’s surgery for amputation is scheduled on January 30th in Little Rock at UAMS. They will amputate approximately 2 inches above her left knee. They will be going this upcoming week to start talking to prosthetist doctors to see what her options are going to be. This ongoing hardship has been extremely challenging for the Moore family. They need our love and support now more than ever. Please be lifting Monica up in your prayers and if you have the ability to help them financially they would greatly appreciate it. Even a small gift makes a big impact when we work together as a community to care for each other!
