Help the Montaño’s Grieve the Loss of Their Son

Yesterday, 17-year-old Daniel Montaño was killed in a tragic car accident. His younger brother Julian 15, is still being treated by doctors in the ICU and has had his leg amputated. He has suffered many serious injuries and has been undergoing many surgeries.
The family matriarch, Rose, is one of the kindest, most generous members of our community. She and her whole family have been actively helping to provide PPE and other necessary supplies like food and diapers to community members in need since COVID-19 hit. She has also been an active union member and worker justice advocate for more than seven years through her union, UDW/AFSCME Local 3930.
Since 2012, Rose has worked as an In-Home Supportive Services provider for her daughter Nicolette who lives with cerebral palsy, a feeding tube, and a ventricle shunt. When Nicolette was born premature, doctors said she would be quadriplegic and would never speak. But, thanks to the round-the-clock care Rose provides, Nicolette can not only speak—she can walk.
These are the kinds of miracles Rose and her family have been making happen for community members and loved ones for years — and now, the Montaño’s need our help.
Please keep the Montaño family in your thoughts and prayers, and donate whatever you can to help the them pay for Funeral expenses and burial for their eldest son Daniel, and the medical care their son Julian needs to keep him alive. Funds will be utilized for Daniel and Julian. Julian’s IN HOME CARE will be round the clock care with multiple nurses at home due to COVID there are many guideline changes. So we are having to move to find a home that will meet his accommodations a room big enough for hospital bed and all equipment also needs more then one person to care for him already spoke to a social worker from IHSS Thank you in advance for all your love and support every Donation counts.
