Hello Everyone!

My name is Brittney - I have created this fundraiser on behalf of one of my dearest friends, Anthony Mondino, and his lovely wife Bekka Mondino as they face an unimaginably difficult situation during what is meant to be one of the happiest times of their lives.

Just a few months ago, Anthony and Bekka Mondino stood at the altar, full of joy and excitement as they joined together as husband and wife and began their new life together. At only 30 years old, Anthony has his whole life ahead of him - now with the love of his life by his side. Unfortunately, during what should be the happiest time of their lives, this young couple has been struck by tragedy - and I am calling on anyone who might be able to lend them their support as they face the unimaginable.

Anthony has recently faced a life-threatening health crisis - multi-organ failure, bleeding, and a host of other critical medical issues which have required him to undergo several invasive surgeries and procedures and has very recently resulted in him fighting for his life and intubated in the ICU, with doctors fighting around the clock to stabilize him. He was lucky to survive, but now faces the need for an immediate liver transplant alongside serious ongoing health complications and - best case scenario - a very long and difficult road to recovery. As things stand currently, if he does not receive an urgent organ transplant and the extensive medical therapies required to fight his condition his life expectancy has been estimated to be between 1-3 years.

The road ahead is long and incredibly difficult. Anthony has been unable to work due to his condition and Bekka has had to take substantial time away from work to be with Anthony in the hospital and to cope with the extreme distress of this situation. This has meant a devastating loss of income for the couple at the exact time when medical bills are piling up faster than anyone could have imagined. In the United States, the costs of specialized care, hospital stays, medications, follow-up treatments, and the transplant itself are overwhelming. As newlyweds, Anthony and Bekka are doing everything they can to stay strong together, but the growing financial weight of this situation will undoubtably add undue stress to what is already an incredibly stressful time for them both.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward:

• Anthony’s critical liver transplant and related medical procedures

• Mounting hospital and doctor bills

• Prescription medications and ongoing treatments

• Lost wages and basic living expenses so they can keep a roof over their heads during this fight

• Travel and any other costs associated with his care and recovery

Anthony is a fighter, and Bekka has been by his side every single step—showing what true love and partnership look like in the hardest times. But they can’t do this alone. Your support—whether it’s a donation, sharing this campaign, or sending words of encouragement—will mean the world to them. It will help give Anthony the best chance at a full recovery so he and Bekka can finally enjoy the life they just started building together.
