About Me:

Hi, my name is Matthew Mitchell, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my parents, Samantha and Matthew Mitchell. My parents are some of the most caring and resilient people I know, and right now, they are facing one of the biggest challenges of their lives.

They were both recently diagnosed with cancer, and we’re asking for your support to help cover the overwhelming medical and living expenses that have come with it.

Matthew Mitchell:

(My Father) has been diagnosed with Blood Cancer, also known as

Leukemia: “Leukemia is cancer of blood-forming tissues, including bone marrow. Many types exist such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia, acute myeloid leukemia, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.”

Samantha Mitchell:

(Step Mother) has been diagnosed with Cervical Cancer.

“Cervical Cancer is a disease where cells in the cervix, the lower part of the uterus, grow out of control and form a tumor.”

Samantha is a devoted mother, sister, and friend who has raised 9 kids. She has always put others before herself, volunteering in her community and working full-time to support her family. Earlier this year, Samantha began experiencing persistent health issues that led to multiple doctor visits and tests.

After weeks of uncertainty, she was diagnosed with stage 3 Cervical Cancer, turning her world upside down.

My dad, Matthew Mitchell, has spent his life taking care of others. He raised 9 kids while working long hours and still finding time to cheer me on at every game, school event, or rough day. He has always been the one to give — to his family, friends, and community.

A few months ago, he began experiencing serious health symptoms that led to a devastating diagnosis of chronic Leukemia. Everything changed in an instant.

The Current Situation:

Since their diagnosis, Samantha and Matthew have both had to step away from work while undergoing treatment. The emotional and physical toll has been immense, and the financial burden has become overwhelming. Between hospital stays, medications, specialist appointments, and transportation to and from treatment centers, the costs have quickly added up.

On top of medical expenses, Samantha and Matthew Mitchell still need help covering basic living expenses while they focus on healing.

The Ask:

We’re aiming to raise $10,000 to help cover:

• Out-of-pocket medical expenses and prescriptions

• Travel and lodging for treatments

• Rent and utilities during recovery

• Childcare support when Samantha and Matthew are in treatment
