Help the Millers fund urgent medical need

Greg Miller and Angela Richard were married in the summer of 2021 and hoped to start building the family they dreamed of right away. This proved to be more difficult than they anticipated, and after over a year of trying to conceive, and then a series of diagnostic tests and imaging, they discovered that Angela had a congenital defect all along: a septum within her uterus, as well as suspected endometriosis. A septate uterus of Angela’s kind decreases the couple’s chances of conception and increases the chances of miscarriage dramatically.

Thankfully, one of the best surgeons in the country practices in their home of St. Louis and will be performing the surgery on March 14th. However, this type of surgery is not covered by insurance, so the $12,000 cost would fall entirely on them.

In 2022, Greg and Angela faithfully prayed for God’s will to be done, completing a 54-day rosary novena.

A month after completing the novena (as well as taking milk dust from the Marian Grotto in the Holy Land), miraculously, the Millers found out they were pregnant before Angela’s originally scheduled surgery. Maria Genevieve was born on June 18, 2023, two weeks earlier than her due date via C-section due to preeclampsia. The family was overjoyed at their gift from God through the intercession of Mother Mary, and they now delight in their vibrant, feisty, green-pea-loving 20-month-old.

God continues to watch over and protect the family, especially when Angela had a burst appendix in December of last year, thankfully able to be treated with antibiotics and released after a brief but difficult stint in the hospital.

Angela’s doctors now recommend that she have her appendix removed as soon as possible to avoid any further infection or complication, which will be completed during the endometriosis and uterine surgery on March 14th. All involved believe this is the safest, most efficient, and least costly course of action.

This means that the Millers must be able to pay $12,000 prior to the surgery and for their already incurred medical bills from Angela’s hospitalization.

Due to a long string of injuries, illnesses, car problems, urgent home repairs, and business expenses, the Millers' finances have been completely drained.

The couple is doing what they can to come up with the cost, Greg working tirelessly as an independently contracted plumber and Angela caring for Maria, their home, and recently taking up a part-time job at a local Catholic store.

We would love to be able to assist them in whatever way we can—with our prayers for them, that God’s will be done once again and they have the courage and faith to accept His plan for them, with the encouraging support of their loved ones, friends, and community both near and far, and with whatever financial assistance we can provide, no matter how small.

If you feel called to do so, the Millers would be extremely grateful for and would greatly benefit from your sharing their story with others. The family will be praying for you and offering this trial to the Lord for your benefit and the salvation of souls. They are especially close to Our Lady and St. Joseph and are greatly inspired by their suffering during the flight into Egypt. Please share your intentions and they will bring these to the Holy Family in their daily prayers.
