Help the Millar Family in Their Time of Need.

Mike Millar—a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cherished friend—has recently faced an unimaginable challenge.

On October 28th, while at work, Mike suffered a life-threatening aortic dissection, which led to strokes on both sides of his brain. Thanks to the quick actions of his coworker, he was rushed to a local hospital and life-flighted to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Washington. There, doctors placed a stent in his neck to restore blood flow to his brain.

Despite their efforts, Mike experienced additional strokes, causing further brain damage. Over the last four weeks, he has shown signs of progress, including opening his eyes, tracking people with his gaze, moving his left hand frequently, and even moving his right toe. While these improvements give hope, Mike’s road to recovery remains long and uncertain.

Doctors and his family have decided to move him to an advanced care facility in Post Falls, Idaho, where he will receive occupational, physical, and eventually speech therapy. Your continued prayers, love, and positive energy mean the world to them as Mike fights to recover.

Lisa has been by his side every step of the way. Since their home is three hours away in Idaho, she has been living in hotels and short-term rentals near the hospital. Mike's daughters, Cameron, Sierra, and Sydney, who live in Moscow, ID, and Portland, OR, have been trying to visit with their dad as much as they can. With no income for the past month and medical bills piling up, the financial burden has become overwhelming.
