In the early morning of June 29, The Mill was badly damaged by a fire. Thankfully, no one was injured and the fire was contained quickly (forever grateful to you, SFFD). We need to temporarily close while we assess the damage and figure out what it will take for us to re-open.
If there's a silver lining here, it's you all: We have been bowled over by the outpouring of love and support, and we're deeply grateful for this community.
Many folks have asked how they can help, and right now we need to clean up, repair, and rebuild. Supporting that work would be tremendous. Donations will go directly toward those efforts. There's nothing we want more than to see your faces back in our space.
Thank you, San Francisco (and beyond!), for your kindness and support. Any contribution you can make means the world to us. We'll keep you updated through the restoration process, and we'll see you for coffee and toast as soon as possible.
This GoFundMe is being organized and managed by Josey Baker, owner of Josey Baker Bread, co-owner of The Mill. The Mill is collectively owned and operated by Four Barrel Coffee & Josey Baker Bread. Funds raised will be used for the many costs associated with the aftermath of the fire and repairing The Mill. Any needed transfers of funds between businesses, or payments to vendors, will be completed by bank transfer or check.
