Help the Miles Family Honor the Life of D’antwon Miles

My name is Latonya Felder and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my nephew, Daterrian Miles, and my niece-in-law, Lavette Arnold-Miles, as they face the unimaginable loss of their beloved 14-year-old son, D’antwon Miles.

On SSunday, August 9, 2026, D’antwon was tragically injured by gun violence while attending a community event intended for youth. Despite efforts to save him, D’antwon succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at St. Joseph Hospital.

D’antwon was only 14 years old. He was a sweet, kindhearted young man who got along with everyone. His life was taken far too soon, leaving his parents, siblings, extended family, friends, and community heartbroken.

No parent should ever have to prepare for the funeral of their child. While Daterrian and Lavette are grieving this devastating loss, they are also faced with unexpected funeral expenses and the responsibility of continuing to care for their **four other children.

We are asking our family, friends, community, and anyone whose heart is touched by D’antwon’s story to please consider supporting the Miles family during this incredibly difficult time. All donations will go toward funeral and memorial expenses, food, household needs, and daily living expenses as the family takes time to grieve and begin navigating life after this tremendous loss.
