Help the Mejia Family Through Jeramy’s Treatment

Hi, I’m Marah Clarkson, friend and fellow church member. I am creating this page on behalf of the Mejia family.

Two weeks ago, their entire world was turned upside down as Stephen and Jessica received some of the worst news any parent could ever hear….

Their 15-year-old son, Jeramy, has Stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Jeramy has a large mass in both his chest and abdomen. A PET scan is scheduled to rule out any other areas of concern.

They have been under the wonderful care of Roanoke Carilion Hospital, and his cancer treatment regimen is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 12, and is expected to last 4 to 6 months.

While Mom, Jessica, has been at Jeramy’s side taking care of her son at the hospital (2 hours from home), Dad, Stephen, has been out of work caring for their younger three boys, Emanuel (13), Cole (9), and Camryn (8). Stephen has been using all of his vacation and time off, which runs out this weekend!

No parent should have to worry how they’re going to pay their bills while they’re helping their child fight for their life. This is why we wanted to create this GoFundMe, to stand in the gap for this family and help provide a way for them to give Jeramy the best love and support possible.
