Help the McCoy family as they recover

Donation protected

This past weekend, Diane, Sheryl and Jaylon McCoy lost their home to a fire. Diane had lived in this home in Simpsonville for over 46 years. It is now unsalvageable and the remains have to be torn down. They were only able to find a few small keepsakes and items in the rubble.

Insurance is covering some expenses but not all. For example, the amount for demolition/debris removal will not cover all the cost involved.

Diane and her late husband, Bud, were alumni of the University of South Carolina. They and their families were lifelong Gamecock fans and Bud had been a member of the Carolina Band. Diane is retired from Sealed-Air Federal Credit Union. Her daughter Sheryl works at Mauldin Christian Academy. Her grandson Jaylon attends Hillcrest High and works at Shortfields restaurant in downtown Simpsonville. They are members of First Baptist in Simpsonville.
