Help the McCann Family Rebuild Their Home

Laura McCann is the 1st grade teacher at Guardian Angels Catholic School. Her husband, Tim McCann is an IB teacher and swim coach at Palm Harbor University High School. They have a beautiful, faith-filled family with their 3 incredible children: Andrew, Ryan, and Elizabeth.

On the night of October 9th, the McCann family were in their Palm Harbor home anxiously waiting for Hurricane Milton to pass over. They were kindly hosting another family in their home at the time who had to evacuate. The McCanns’ home was in a non-flood zone and also in a non-evacuation zone. The last thing they ever imagined happening was their beautiful home being flooded.

During the night, water began quickly entering their home, and they rushed to try and save baby photos, family photos, and anything they could. The water continued entering their home. When it was finally over, and the water receded, the McCann family was left devastated to see everything they have worked so hard for being carried out to the curb to be thrown away. They lost all of their furniture including beds, their dining room table and chairs, dressers, their sofa, and their China cabinet. All of the flooring in their home was removed as well as the drywall throughout the house and will need to be replaced. Andrew, Ryan, and Elizabeth also lost many of their books, toys, and personal things.

The McCann family is so grateful for everyone who has reached out in the first days and has dropped off bins, supplies, and has helped with removing items from their home. They are ready to transition into the next stage and continue to need our help in a different way.
