I thought maybe an update was necessary. This fundraiser was originally to help with any needs my youngest would have. Who would’ve thought it would turn to help support my entire family through this process. Losing their father, my husband, was something we never thought we would deal with in the near future. Any help that can be provided is greatly appreciated. The funds will be used for our living situation, as we are needing to sell our home and find a new one, the kids, and any other expenses I am unaware of. Thank you all for your support. Hi, we are the Mazzara Family and we are raising funds for our six year old daughter, Kelly, who has been diagnosed with Perthes Disease. Kelly spent months in a wheelchair hoping that would reverse her damages, but that failed. She then had to have a surgery to correct her condition and is in a cast covering her lower body. She will spend 5 weeks in the cast, and then up to 18 months in a brace that covers the same area. We are looking into possibly purchasing a wheelchair that will fit her in her brace because the rental company does not have one. We are also looking at making accommodations and alterations to our house to meet all of her needs. As a family, we have had financial difficulties over the past year due to illnesses and work issues. As of right now, I am being a Stay at Home Mother to be here for Kelly, so I can not work at this time. We have already received amazing support and donations, but with the current news and situation we still find ourselves in a troubled times. We feel blessed for all the love from everyone, and we are blessed Kelly is able to heal through this long process. Thank you to everyone who took the time to read this. God Bless you all.
