Help the May Family Get Back on Our Feet

Many of you are aware that I (Ana) have had some serious health issues over the past year or so.  Most of you probably are not. I’ve kept most people on a need-to-know basis (including close family members) about what’s been going on. In the last couple months I have spent two weeks in a hospital bed and have had to make five visits to the ER. Keeping things going has put an enormous burden on my family and extended family--who would and always have done everything they can to support us. 


I am finally feeling human again, after losing almost a third of my body weight and dealing with a roller coaster of emotions and other things that go along with our lives being upended. I am finally able to start working again, but haven’t been able to do much for a while because my body wouldn’t let me even just walk to the mailbox some days. I am embarrassed to ask friends for help, but the impact of what we’ve been going through is something I have to be honest about. We need help getting back to zero. 


Our children are feeling the stress of mommy being sick and they are worrying about things they shouldn’t have to at this age. Shadow has been carrying the family, and me, but it has put a strain on everything. We can’t keep up. This has been a difficult time for all of us and we need help to make ends meet until I can bring in meaningful money to pick up the slack again. 


Please believe that we would not ask if we weren’t at a point that we have to ask. If you are able to donate a small amount our family would be forever grateful.
