Hi everyone,
One of the things I love most about Allied is the sense of family we share. Right now, an extended family member is facing some serious medical and financial challenges. Many of you know Fernando Martinez, Houston Trade Partner, from Aluminum, Miscellaneous to Stamped Concrete Reseals. He’s someone who is deeply admired for his loyalty, dedication, and commitment.
His wife, Magali Navarrette spent a day at the waterpark, thinking she had simply gotten water splashed in her eye, began seeing a grey dot right in the center of her vision. Worried, she went to the hospital, but after an initial examination, doctors couldn't find anything wrong. With the symptoms persisted she returned to the hospital and had numerous tests, blood work and an MRI. She was seen by a neurologist and an ophthalmologist. They confirmed she had inflammation in her optic nerve and a lesion on her brain. After another visit to the neurologist, she was diagnosed with MOG (Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein) disorder and Multiple Sclerosis.
The medical bills left the family facing significant debt. Fernando and Magali have three children—ages 12, 9, and 3. Through it all, Magali’s biggest prayer is to feel "normal" again so she can enjoy time with her family, without the pain and uncertainty her condition has brought.
During this difficult time, we want to show our support and offer our prayers, love, and any help we can. If you're able to contribute, no matter the amount, it would mean a lot to Fernando and his family.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
