Update from Leslee 2/5: The doctor told us Tuesday that Leo will need to stay in Cincinnati for at least 100 days after transplant; 100 days is June 8. It wasn’t something I was prepared for. We weren’t planning on doing a GoFundMe account. But I’m not certain that we will be allowed to stay at Ronald McDonald house once he’s discharged from the hospital in mid-April. So then I’m not sure what we will do.

The Martin Family has just started their medical journey, and they could use our support and help. Two of the three Martin boys have a rare genetic disease requiring bone marrow transplants taking place a little less than two hours from home in Indy at Cincinnati Children’s. Their middle son Leo has gone through months of testing, bloodwork and medical preparations for his transplant that will take place in the coming weeks. The surgery will require Leo to be hospitalized for months with his mom Leslee by his side. Her husband will be back in Indy with their other two children holding down the fort with the help of family and friends. It will likely be early summer before Leo and Leslee are able to fully return back to Indy. Once Leo is fully recovered, then it will be the youngest, Bryson’s, turn to have his bone marrow transplant with his oldest brother Andy being his donor. The journey is a long one and so many have helped with prayers, meals and support for this family. We ask that you consider making a financial contribution to help lighten their load. Traveling back and forth to Cincy for weeks at a time has been and will continue to be costly. Let’s help ensure the Martins have all that they need from their family, friends and community at this time.
