Help the Markham Firebirds get to the FRC Championships!

Hello! We are FRC Team 7902 - Markham FireBirds, a not-for-profit FIRST Robotics Competition community based team from Markham, Ontario founded in 2018.

Ever since our inception, our team has been dedicated to introducing youth to STEM learning through robotics. We have supported youth in multiple ways, from providing hands-on experiences in competitive robotics, to introducing STEM to our wider community through public engagement at various community events all over York Region in Ontario. Over the years, we have grown to become one of the widest reaching teams in Ontario with over 50 students from 23 different schools.

Thanks to the endless hours of work put in by students under the guidance of our very dedicated mentors, we won the Ontario Provincial Championship on April 5, 2025 which was held at The International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. This coveted win earned us a chance to compete on the world stage in Houston, Texas from April 16 to 19, 2025. This is an enormous milestone for our team, as this will be our first time participating in the FRC Worlds Championship. All of our mentors and students are brimming with excitement, and we are ready to represent Markham, Ontario and Canada internationally. However, we need your support.

We set up this fundraiser aiming to raise $5,000 or more to ensure that every team member, even those facing financial barriers, can join us in Houston, Texas. We are forever grateful for this chance to prove ourselves and hope that everyone can be part of this great experience. Thus, we humbly ask for any form of donation— whether big or small, as every dollar brings us closer to our goal.

Any surplus funding will be invested back into our team for equipment and robot parts for the 2025-2026 season so we can continue to lead the way in hands-on STEM education for years to come. Please help us support our future innovators and leaders through donating, for this momentous occasion.
