Help the Market Hotel staff in crisis

Everyone who depends on NYC’s vibrant live music & nightlife industry for their livelihood is in crisis right now, in light of COVID-19 and government mandated shutdowns of city bars, nightclubs, and restaurants. We at Market Hotel are no different - within a week, our entire staff is out of work indefinitely. We remain hopeful though -  while we have faced trials & tribulations before, we’ve always managed to make it through with the help and enthusiasm of our community. 

And we’ve always been so glad to give you the space to see your favorite bands, meet new friends & lovers, and just let loose in general. We hope to continue to do so on the other side of this, so humbly we ask for your help. Due your generosity already, we’ve been able to raise nearly $3,000 through our initial emergency fundraising efforts on Venmo, and we'd like to carry on our efforts here. With this money, we’ve been able to keep the 26 people who operate Market Hotel solvent a little while longer - the people who welcome you to the venue, who serve your drinks, who look after you and your belongings at the show. For that we are immensely grateful. 

Every bit helps. If you cannot donate, we still encourage you to share this page with your friends and family. 100% of proceeds will go directly to staff. Market Hotel has beaten the circumstances, survived against the odds and outlasted shutdowns half-a-dozen times since 2008, and we will get past this quarantine as well.
