We are the Marine Family. Tim and Delaney were a couple of high school kids when we fell in love and knew we wanted to start a family together. Our love is as strong as ever 14 years later with our two beautiful daughters. Eldora is 4 and Emerald is 2. After renting for many years, we were fortunate enough to buy our first home in 2022. Finances were tight but we made it work and were so excited to watch our girls grow in our new home.

A catastrophe befell our home in May 2024. One of our foundation walls collapsed completely and fell into the basement with another wall taking significant damage as well. Before we had purchased the house, we had a foundation specialist tell us the cracks in the foundation were superficial and nothing to worry about. This, we now know, was obviously not the case. After much back and forth, our home insurance officially denied our claim and will not be paying for the damages.

We are now looking to the community to help us save our home. This is where our girls took their first steps. It's where they eat, sleep, play, and learn. Our home is full of color, hand painted murals, hand sewn curtains, custom built baby gates, but mostly it's full of love and laughter and family. We love our home and we need help saving it.

Two walls of our foundation need to be dugout, removed, and rebuilt properly. Each wall is estimated at $35,000. Our contractor was able to look at the fully collapsed wall and determine that the home never had proper footings. It was just simply sitting on the dirt and then had the basement dug out years later. Our contractor has assured us the two walls being replaced will be enough to sure up the house and not all 4 walls need to be done. Making the cost $70,000 to make our home safe.
