Help the Marczak's Fight ALS

Donation protected
Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all the darkness. How does one see light after being diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease? A nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord causing loss of muscle control. Eventually ALS affects control of the muscles needed to move, speak, eat, and breathe. There is no cure for this fatal disease.

So how does one diagnosed with ALS see that there is light despite all the darkness? They see the light through the outpouring of love and support. The greatness in humanity. The darkness softens just a tad with each helping hand.

The Marczak family is need of some light to help carry them through this darkness. At the young age of 63 years old, Edek has been diagnosed with ALS just 3 months after starting symptoms. His symptoms have progressed rapidly leaving barely no time to process such a diagnosis. The disease has already caused profound weakness in his legs and arms leaving him unable to work or walk on his own. He has been hospitalized multiple times.

The heaviness of the unknown coupled with financial concerns is crippling. Edek has worked incredibly hard his whole life to provide for his family and by far is one of the most generous and hardworking men I have ever encountered. He moved his family from Poland to provide a good life and just welcomed a new baby granddaughter. Please consider donating to take some darkness away as him and his family process this devastating disease. ALS is an extremely expensive disease and journey, both for the individual diagnosed and the family members around them.
