A Devastating Chain of Events
Hi, I’m Jeffery Goddard, and I’m reaching out with an urgent plea to help my 30-year business partner and friend, Mark Mannschreck, his fiancée Clarisa, and his son Christian. They have endured three consecutive disasters—any one of which would have been devastating on its own.
1. The Fire
On January 7, 2025, the Eaton Canyon Fire tore through Altadena, CA, destroying 9,000+ structures. It was the second most destructive wildfire in California history.
As the fire approached, emergency crews weren’t fighting the fire in their neighborhood. Mark and a few neighbors took matters into their own hands—using an electric pressure washer and a small generator to fight flames and embers all night long.
Miraculously, they saved their home… but the danger wasn’t over.
Watch their heroic efforts in this video:
2. The Looting
The very next day, while Mark was still putting out fires, looters ransacked their car in their own driveway.
They dumped out bins of Clarisa’s treasured items callously onto the seats and stole Mark’s backpack, which contained his:
Driver’s license
Credit cards
Medications
And Irreplaceable Documents…
Within hours, the thieves racked up charges at a mall, McDonald’s, and Shoe Palace—before Mark even realized what had happened.

3. The Fraud
Then, things got even worse.
On February 16, 2025, Mark fell victim to an advanced impersonation scam. Without his stolen ID, he struggled for weeks to regain control of his accounts.
During that time:
Passwords were changed without his knowledge.
Bank access was restricted.
Hackers drained $66,266.41—everything they had left to rebuild their lives.
Despite filing multiple reports with the IC3 (FBI), Coinbase, and law enforcement, their money is gone.
They Have Lost A Lot — But They Haven’t Given Up
Nearly two months later, the Mannschreck family is still displaced. Their home is unlivable due to fire damage, toxic contamination, and massive remediation costs.
Mark’s production studio is destroyed, leaving them with no savings and no clear path forward.
But they refuse to give up. They are still fighting to rebuild their home, their work, and their lives.
