The Maha Yoga Center in Bridgewater, MA could use your help. Like most businesses The Maha Center had to close its doors to help slow the spread of infection when the Corona virus began to sweep through the state.
Since it's opening, The Maha Center has held innumerable classes to help folks in the surrounding communities learn not only yoga, breathing, meditation, compassion, mindfulness, belly dance, chanting, and other self-help techniques it has tirelessly worked to help people learn to live more healthy, mindful based lives.
The Center is also a chapter of Amnesty International and regularly works to help free those who have been wrongly imprisoned around the world.
The Center also offers various types of body work(from massage to reiki) with some of the best body workers from the surrounding area. Add to that, music performances with amazing artists, book discussions and counseling services and you begin to see all the ways The Maha Center gives to the community. And all of this at some of the lowest and most reasonable prices in the area.
The Maha Yoga Center is owned and operated by Diane Lagadec. Anyone who has gone to the Center has surely experienced her warm welcoming smile, and if lucky, taken one of her killer yoga classes. I have been lucky to have known Diane for over 25 years as a teacher, a mentor and most of all, a close friend. She has always demonstrated the ways of selfless service to others and has always been there if needed asking for little, if anything in return.
The recent closing has left large holes in the Maha's operating budget. When reopening becomes a reality, class size will almost certainly be reduced making it even harder to realize the monthly budgeting needs which although The Center is closed at this time, are still adding up.
Any support, large or small, you may be able to contribute towards the rent and operating costs of The Center would be GREATLY appreciated at this time!
One of the greatest things the Maha Center has given us over the years is a wonderful community of kind and like minded people from all walks of life who share a vision of compassion for all. I am eternally grateful to have had it be a large part of my life and I am sure if you are reading this, you understand the special need to keep The Maha Yoga Center open for all, especially during these exceptionally challenging times. Hopefully and with a little luck, The Center will open its doors once again so we can all share in that joy once again!
