Help the MAGR continue to give back to Rockford

My fellow countrymen: I begin with the universal message of peace and blessings upon you all. I am the Vice President of the Muslim Association of Greater Rockford (MAGR). The MAGR has been an integral part of the Greater Rockford community since 1989. The MAGR has stood with the Rockford community in solidarity to maintain peace, establish justice, battle hunger, and combat crime. Any time the City of Rockford has faced a challenge, the MAGR and its numerous talented members have answered the call to pitch in and offer a gracious, helping hand. This challenging period of COVID19 is no exception. We have many talented and dedicated volunteers who continue to answer the call of the myriad needs of this community.  For instance, our volunteers deliver food daily to those in need and those economically affected by COVID19. Our volunteers have also made masks to be distributed to those putting their lives on the line during this crisis. Despite this amazing resolve, we could use some assistance with our operating expenses (utilities and staff salaries). At this time it is unknown how long we will continue to be in this quagmire with the "Stay at Home" order. That being said, with the exception of the aforementioned vital activities, the MAGR has had to close its doors to all other activities in compliance with the state mandate. This has resulted in donor traffic reducing drastically. The amount that we're hoping to raise is to ensure we can continue our activities uninterrupted for the next three months until this present situation hopefully blows over. No donation is too big, and no donation is too small. All donations are 100% tax deductible. We are very blessed and grateful for any donations that come in, as all amounts are helpful in continuing our noble mission to the community: to serve. Thank you to all. Be blessed and stay safe.
