If you know the Madden family, you know their hearts for service, faith, and community run deep. Whether it’s serving through their church, supporting local missions, or quietly helping others behind the scenes, Kelly, James, and their son Ben have always found ways to pour into the lives of others—even in the midst of their own challenges.
Now, they need our help.
Ben was born with spina bifida and has endured numerous complex surgeries over the years, including recent urgent spinal and gastrointestinal procedures. His care is ongoing and intensive, requiring frequent hospitalizations and long-term coordination. Yet even in pain, Ben is always the first to ask how he can help—whether someone is sick, discouraged, or simply needs a friend. His heart for others is extraordinary.
At the same time, James is facing a serious health battle of his own. A severe infection led to the partial amputation of his foot, and ongoing complications have required additional surgeries, wound care, and intensive rehabilitation.
These dual medical crises have placed a tremendous emotional and financial burden on the family. Travel for specialized care, time away from work, and out-of-pocket medical expenses have stretched them to their limit.
Through it all, the Maddens remain rooted in their calling to serve. James has long been the go-to electrician and HVAC technician for friends, neighbors, and church families—always willing to show up in the middle of the hottest night or the coldest morning to help someone in need. He has also answered the call to missions in the Dominican Republic, Ichmul, Mexico, and most recently in Pensacola, North Carolina—quietly giving his time, skills, and heart wherever he’s needed.
With both James and Ben now recovering from major surgeries, and Kelly carrying the full weight of caregiving and coordination, this beloved family is facing more than they can manage alone.
They would never ask for help for themselves—but we can ask for them.
Every donation will help cover medical expenses, travel costs, lost wages, and the many ongoing needs that come with long-term recovery. And every prayer, share, and encouraging word means more than you know.
