Help the Lyons family and John’s recovery

If you have been lucky enough to meet anyone in the Lyons family, you know how genuinely kind and caring each of them are. They care so deeply for those around them. They are so involved in their children’s sports, both John and Jen helping coach Johnny and Jemma’s most loved activities.

In October of this year, John had an asthma attack that caused him to lose consciousness and hit a tree. Thankfully, they were able to intubate John at the scene; he was then airlifted to Cooper Trauma. Doctors discovered John had a collapsed lung, fractured ribs, and an L1 burst fracture. John underwent a T11-L3 spinal fusion. John has been working so hard to rehabilitate and heal, but this process requires time. John has been out of work and medical bills and financial obligations are piling up at a very fast rate. This added stressor on a family really takes a toll and it takes away from the healing that they should be able to focus on. Jen had a medical emergency last year that has also prevented her from returning to work while she is recovering herself. It is so hard to be in need and vulnerable but a medical emergency should not be further complicated by the stressor of finances impacting that.
