Help the Lucero Family Honor Joy's Legacy

My name is Lyn Llamas, one of Minerva Joy Lucero's best friends. On behalf of her many friends who love her, we want to come together as her Ohana to support Joy's family, Ted, her husband and high school sweetheart of 25 years, and their children Joshua, Nathan, and Isa'bella, and her beloved pup Sherlock. Now the Luceros must face life without her as Joy left her earthly body on November 10, 2024, after a courageous three year battle with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.

Joy was the embodiment of her name. She breathed life into her family, her friends, and her passions. We will miss her smile, laughter, and her quick wit. Joy lived her life to the fullest, never missing an opportunity to show up for her husband, children, friends, and the community.

Joy shared her inner beauty through hula, surfing, and her love for gardening, floras, and mainly lei making, spreading the aloha at every opportunity given to her. She made everything she touched look so effortless, but those close to her knew how deeply she poured her heart and soul into her craft, like the leis she thoughtfully arranged, each delicate flower symbolizing her love and warmth.

Joy's radiant spirit lives on in her dearest family and friends, as does her unconditional love for us all.
