Hi, my name is Brent Gelfand, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and deep hope. My significant other, Elizabeth Castro, was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer— news that has turned our lives upside down. After enduring a long and difficult surgery, she has now begun the next phase of her battle: chemotherapy. She’s facing this with incredible strength, but the physical, emotional, and financial toll is overwhelming. We are at the very beginning of what will be a long and uncertain journey; one filled with doctors' visits, treatments, side effects, and countless unexpected challenges. At the same time, I’m currently a full-time student and I’m in a position where I can’t financially support the person I love most when she needs it the most. I’m not earning an income, and the costs of treatment are rising fast, even with insurance.

We're navigating:

-Surgery and hospital bills

-Ongoing chemotherapy

-Imaging, lab work, and follow-up visits

-Prescription medications and recovery care

-Travel and basic living expenses during treatment
