Help the Love Family Through Crisis

Our family has come into rough times. My husband Matt on 11/4/2025 had his left pupil blow at work with no indication of any injury known and no iris was seen. Multiple tests were performed and he was diagnosed with an intracranial artery aneurysm on 11/5/2025, that is most likely needing surgical intervention. In the meantime he has been instructed to not work due to not being able to see correctly in his left eye and avoid any strenuous activity to raise his pulse or blood pressure to prevent the aneurysm from rupturing. Matt is a caregiver and his job entails to give medications, take clients to doctors appointments, cook etc. with his limited vision this is not possible. I currently work at KVH as a medical assistant and am a full time college student pursing a career in medicine to become a doctor. I currently work as much as I can while trying to maintain bills, school homework, and our 6 kids. Currently we only have 3 of our children with us and the other 3 are in Florida with their mom until they come here in the summer. Due to Matt being unable to drive I cannot work late hours to make up for his loss of income and we have fallen behind on our bills. On top of everything we are currently paying on 3 vehicles and only one works, Matt’s truck. My Tahoe blew its transmission in July and has been sitting ever since. I was able to get another vehicle in August and have found out the motor needs to be replaced and it is not worth it as the engine costs more than the car is worth.
Matt finally got an appointment at Harbor view Neurology in Seattle on December 11th for an angiogram and then an appointment on the 17th to discuss his options, Matt’s truck cannot go over 65 mph due to being in a collision earlier this year and takes over $100 to fill the tank. If Matt does need surgical intervention he will have a long recovery time. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to pay our rent this month and have received a 10-day pay or vacate. Matt’s last check was smaller than we thought and we weren’t able to pay. We have called Hopesource but they do not have any funds currently to help. We have applied for paid family medical leave but they have a 2-3 week wait time and will have a waiting week after the claim is accepted. Matt currently pays child support for the other 3 kiddos and when/if he gets accepted they will garnish to pay child support so less for us to catch up on bills. Fortunately food stamps came in this month and we are able to provide food for our family but are falling behind on bills.

If you know me or my husband you know that we have a hard time asking for help and only do when we are in desperate need. If you are able to help in any way our family will be forever grateful no matter how small, your contribution will be forever cherished in our hearts.

Please share as much as you can!

Thank you from the Love family.
