My name is Diana Acosta; I am raising money for my sister Zaira Lopez and nephew Edgardo. She unexpectedly lost her husband Edgardo Lopez and 'Gordo' lost his father on Sunday, August 24th around 8 p.m. in Houston, TX.

On October 22, 1977, Edgardo was born into this world. He was a devoted husband and father. Edgardo was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he served faithfully as a deacon. He was by Zaira's side, supporting her in every church activity- especially with the Adventurer Club. If something needed to be repaired, built, or fixed, Edgardo was already there. Edgardo joy was his family. He loved his wife deeply and was a proud father.

Today, as we grieve his passing, we also want to honor his life by supporting the family. Although the family fell on hard times, now making it even harder with the death of her husband, he was always willing to do what was needed. This GoFundMe has been created to help ease the financial burden during this difficult time and to surround Zaira and Edgardo Jr. with the love and support Edgardo gave so freely to others. The funds will help with funeral, memorial expenses, and support with any future finances that will be needed.
