Support the Lopez Family After Eaton Fires

Dear friends, family, and community,

We are reaching out in hopes of rallying support for unexpected expenses for my mother-in-law, Guadalupe Lopez, and my brother-in-law, Aldo Lopez, as they try to recover from the devastation caused by the recent Eaton fires. Tragically, they lost the family home—a place filled with over 40 years of love, memories, and hard work. This home was built by my late father-in-law, Jose Luis Lopez, and has served as the heart of countless family gatherings. It held the legacy of a lifetime, the American dream, and now, everything is gone.

Both my husband Juan and Aldo did everything they could to save their parents' home, but the intensity of the flames and the winds were too much. After fighting for a few hours, they had no choice but to watch in horror as their home went up in flames. The hardest moment came after when they had to tell their mom that they couldn’t save the house—a place filled with so many memories.

While we are so incredibly grateful that everyone is safe, the emotional toll has been immense. The house was more than just a building; it was a sanctuary for family, a legacy for future generations.

We are asking for any support you can provide to them. Nothing can ever replace what was lost, but we hope that with your kindness and generosity, we can restore some sense of hope, and give them a chance to make new memories.
