We are Kate and Joe Long, the proud owners of The Long Road Home food truck and catering. Opening this business was a long-time dream for both of us. Kate found her love of food through family gatherings and cherished recipes, while Joe has worked in many roles throughout the culinary world. After overcoming personal challenges, Joe worked hard to build the life he always dreamed of. In 2023, we got married and decided to chase our dream together, embarking on a new adventure as small business owners. We lovingly named our business The Long Road Home, because it was a long journey to find our dream and to find each other. Along the way, we have served many people, making customers into friends, and priding ourselves on quality and a personal touch every time we serve.

This year has been especially tough for us. We faced many obstacles, but we always showed up, stayed present, and worked hard to keep our dream alive. Last week, we suffered a devastating setback. While trying to heat our food trailer during the icy cold nights, it caught fire. The fire caused significant damage to the inside of our trailer, destroyed equipment, and led to a loss of product. Our small business is our only source of income, and the financial strain has been immense. We are not ones to ask for handouts, but we are reaching out to our community for help so we can rebuild and continue serving you.

Any donations will be used to rebuild our business, repair the trailer, replace damaged equipment, and restock supplies. We vow to come back stronger and more dedicated than ever. We are so appreciative of the love and support during this difficult time, and we hope to put on a customer appreciation event once we are back on our feet. Thank you for believing in us and helping us rise up from the ashes.
