After suffering a series of seizures, our dad, Gary Long, has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme, an aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer. He will soon begin treatment with chemotherapy and radiation, followed by ongoing chemotherapy and a new treatment called electrical field therapy. Though the prognosis isn't good, we are doing our best to try and take things one day at a time and to make the most of the time we have with him.
This has been a very difficult time for our family, both emotionally and financially. With Dad unable to work, our mom is doing her best to manage as both the sole breadwinner and Dad's primary caretaker. It hasn't been easy and the road ahead is uncertain, so we established this fund to help her with expenses while she cares for Dad.
