Hello, my name is Loree. This fundraiser is for my family and the people in their community of Siargao, Philippines. Recently, they were hit with a terrible typhoon that destroyed most of the houses on the island. Many people have passed from this typhoon Odette and those locals who are safe have been left homeless and with limited access to food and supplies.

I am in Australia and am far from my family, we have had very little contact with them over this disaster because of internet issues. It has left my mum and me in a rather helpless situation but this is the best thing I could come up with to help my family and community.

The urgent goal of this is to raise as much money as possible to provide the island with tents, food, and supplies for the short term. This has the goal of helping them survive while they rebuild.

If this fundraiser receives enough funding, the rest of the money will go to rebuilding the homes of the locals, their churches, and other public buildings. It's a small tourist island and the locals who have been affected the worst simply don't have the money to rebuild and any kind of donation would mean the world to them.
