On Tuesday Feb 25, the Lloyd family learned that their beloved son Curtis Lloyd (Rusty) lost his ongoing battle with addiction. Curtis was doing so well and was full of hope and enthusiasm. For the last three years, he had been living at a rehab center in Atlanta while holding a job. So much love, energy, and money went into supporting their son and brother throughout this journey. Addiction is so painful for both the addict and the family. While the family knows he's relieved of this burden, they are struggling with overwhelming grief and sadness. Curtis' favorite quote that he often shared with his dad was, "Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations. The best is yet to come." - Zig Ziglar. Meanwhile the family leans on God's Word. "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Rev. 21:4
