Help the little Louis to get healthy

Teresa and Louis (mom and son) are an important part of the family we created this past December in Siargao island, Philippines.

Teresa loves cooking, she even had a vegan restaurant on the island, which sadly had to sell due to her current situation. Teresa would cook for all of us at Christmas and many other times; she gave us a lot, without expecting anything back. She took good care of all of us, unknown foreigners in Siargao; now it is time to take care of her.

3 months ago, little Louis was diagnosed with lymphoma and focal epilepsy. He already had his first chemotherapy, but the treatment is not over yet. Teresa and Louis had to leave Siargao island (which means friends, family, and everything behind) to find a good hospital in the island of Cebu.

The current situation is unfair and sad. This fundraise is to give our love and support to them. Because they are the sweetest. They are loving and wonderful. And they both deserve to get healthy. To be happy.

De afgelopen maanden hebben wij onze tijd mogen doorbrengen op het eiland Siargao, Filipijnen, een bijzondere plek waar we een hechte familie hebben gecreëerd. Teresa en Louis (moeder en zoon) zijn een belangrijk deel van deze familie.

Teresa houdt van koken, ze had zelfs een vegan restaurant op het eiland, dit restaurant heeft ze helaas moeten verkopen vanwege de huidige situatie waar ze nu in verkeert. Teresa kookte met kerstmis en heel veel andere keren voor ons allemaal. Ze heeft ons zoveel gegeven zonder er ook maar iets voor terug te vragen. Ze zorgde voor ons, onwetende toeristen in Siargao. Nu is het tijd dat wij voor haar zorgen.

3 maanden geleden is kleine Louis gediagnostiseerd met lymfoom kanker en epilepsie. Hij heeft zijn eerste chemotherapie al gehad maar zijn behandeling is nog niet afgerond. Teresa en Louis hebben Siargao moeten verlaten voor een goed ziekenhuis in Cebu, dat betekent weg van familie en vrienden die je kunnen helpen.

De huidige situatie is oneerlijk en erg verdrietig. Deze inzamelingsactie is om onze liefde en steun aan hun te geven. Omdat ze de liefste zijn. Ze verdienen het om gezond en gelukkig te zijn.

Met elke kleine bijdrage kunnen we een groot verschil maken.

Teresa y Louis (mamá e hijo) son una parte importante de la familia que creamos el pasado diciembre en la isla de Siargao, Filipinas.

A Teresa le encanta cocinar, incluso tenía un restaurante vegano en la isla, que lamentablemente ha tenido que vender debido a su situación actual. Teresa ha cocinado para todos nosotros en Navidad y muchas otras ocasiones; nos dio mucho, sin esperar nada a cambio. Cuidó muy bien de todos nosotros, extranjeros desconocidos en Siargao; ahora sentimos que es el momento de cuidarla a ella.

Hace 3 meses, al pequeño Louis le diagnosticaron linfoma y epilepsia focal. Ya tuvo su primera quimioterapia, pero el tratamiento aún no ha terminado. Teresa y Louis tuvieron que dejar la isla de Siargao (amigos, familia y todo lo demás, atrás) para encontrar un buen hospital en la isla de Cebú.

La situación actual es injusta y triste. Esta recaudación de fondos es para darles nuestro amor y apoyo. Porque son los más dulces. Son cariñosos y maravillosos. Y ambos se merecen recuperar la salud. Para poder ser felices.
