On Saturday afternoon, my dad, Tony, was working on his lawn mower in the garage when it suddenly burst into flames. Suddenly and violently, the entire house went up. My father Tony, my mom Donna, and my disabled brother Kyle were able to get out of the house safely, but unfortunately, we lost all three of our cats and the home is unlivable.
We moved to this home in 1985 and spent decades building our lives here and in one afternoon it is all gone.
My parents and brother are staying at a hotel for the foreseeable future but have no clothes, no toiletries, no electronics, and most importantly, we have no hospital bed or medical supplies for my disabled brother, who suffered a severe traumatic brain injury in 2017.
They currently have a voucher from the Red Cross for temporary lodging, but the future is terribly uncertain at the moment. Anything you can give would go a very long way to provide us with some basic comforts and absolute necessities for my brother’s care.
Please pray for my family as we process this tragic event. Thank you.
