Hi, my name is Sarah and I’m organizing this fundraiser for my sister and her family.

On Thursday night, October 2nd, my beautiful sister — my best friend in the whole world — her husband Alex, and their two daughters, Emma and Ellie, were in a terrible car accident when another driver turned left in front of them at an intersection. Their car was completely totaled.

By the grace of God, they are all alive — and for that, we are so incredibly grateful. But they are badly hurt. My sister was hospitalized with a large hematoma and is covered in deep bruises. After a few days, Lilly has been released from the hospital and is home with her family trying to recover. Alex, Emma, and Ellie are also bruised from head to toe, and sweet Ellie suffered a broken wrist. They’re all shaken, sore, and just trying to recover one day at a time.

Alex owns a landscaping business and with his injuries, he needs to be resting and recovering along with his family. Being a one income household, the need to get back to work is at the forefront of his mind and he will have to get back to work very soon. My sister homeschools Emma and Ellie, and she’s doing everything she can to stay strong for her girls despite the pain, fear, and financial stress this accident has caused.

I’m creating this GoFundMe to help ease some of that burden — to give them a little breathing room so they can focus on healing instead of worrying about how to pay rent or replace what they’ve lost. They are such a loving, hardworking family who give so much to others and would never ask for help themselves — but right now, they truly need it.
